Foss Garth Cottage is a lovely traditional dales cottage (formally a lead miners cottage). It is fully refurbished with modern conveniences and comfort. It is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It is full of character with beamed ceilings, thick stone walls, lots of true Dales cottage features and heritage. It has an authentic black leaded Yorkshire Range, with the name Charles Iveson still clearly visible on it. The cottage is lovingly maintained to create a warm, cosy and homely experience for our guests.
Foss Garth Cottage has 3 bedrooms;
1 large double room (king-sized bed), with en-suite shower. It also has it's own digital TV\DVD player.
1 twin room, with own washbasin.
1 small single room, with standard single bed.
The main bathroom is situated upstairs, with bath, toilet and washbasin. Downstairs toilet, with washbasin is situated in the utility room.
Utility room has a washing machine and electric airer.
Fuel and electric are included in the price, as is all linen, towels, tea towels.
Foss Garth is very warm and cosy with an open fire, (Yorkshire Range), unlimited oil central heating and radiators throughout the property. We provide a complimentary starter/ welcome pack for the open fire (further supplies can be purchased from local stores at Reeth and Hawes).
In the lounge, there is a 40", LED HD digital TV, with Freesat and dvd player. The cottage has a micro sound system with radio, Cd player, docking for iPhone, USB and SD card ports.
Foss Garth Cottage does have a small kitchen, but it is very well equipped, including Electric cooker,microwave, Fridge/Freezer and full sized dishwasher.
Foss Garth Cottage has free Wi Fi interent access.
Large private patio area at the front of the property.
The view offers a tranquil setting and looks upon the fields and hills opposite, with the sound of Thwaite waterfall nearby. A little haven down by Thwaite stream and waterfall. Of course, not forgetting, Thwaite's Viking Heritage. Foss in Old Norse translates into the word waterfall.
Private off street parking, in our own car park area at the front of the property.
All our cottages are professionally cleaned and inspected prior to your arrival.
Foss Garth is available from Saturday to Saturday.
Prices can depend on the time of season and number pf people. Short breaks maybe available during the low season.
Pet friendly, max 2 well behaved dogs, by prior appointment. A small charge will be added.
